Kate Gerwin

Kate Gerwin is a licensed professional counselor and certified nature informed counselor. Kate graduated from Loyola University Maryland in a program with a spiritually integrated emphasis and has worked in a variety of clinical mental health settings as well as a teacher and a school counselor. She has a passion for addressing the whole person, mind, body, and spirit and especially enjoys supporting clients through grief, life transitions, and the self-discovery process. Kate utilizes an eclectic, trauma-informed approach, combining somatic and mindfulness techniques with a variety of theoretical orientations, including Internal Family Systems and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Kate views her role as assisting clients in living more authentically and relationally by helping them to access their own inner wisdom and learning to bring more self-compassion into their lives. Always eager to learn and grow, Kate has completed numerous trainings in mindfulness, breathwork, nutrition, and EMDR. In addition to her work, Kate loves the woods, her friends and family, and good chocolate.
